Non-Contingent Reinforcement

Strategy in ABA where reinforcement is delivered on a time-based schedule regardless of the presence of a specific behavior.

Example: Jackson is sitting in class and continues tapping his pencil to gain attention from his peers. Reinforcement is still provided to Jackson on a time-based schedule regardless of the fact he continues to engage in disruptive behavior.
