Hi, my name is Kara Prince Stacks.
A professional in the field of behavior and autism and mother to an awesome kid on the spectrum. I have worked at every level within special education and was an in-home and parent trainer. I was also an after-school detention teacher as well as the in-school suspension teacher where I took the traditional model and began to work with students on their social and emotional needs and established lifelong relationships. I helped establish the first Autism Awareness Rally and Walk and was voted 2018 Autism Teacher of the Year by the Autism Friends Organization. I was featured on the KXII news twice for my work with students on the spectrum in 2017. I was a member of the Team of the Year in my previous district where I taught in SLC (a class for students on the spectrum).
My educational career began as a paraprofessional where I gained a lot of knowledge and passion for special education. Not only did I support students in centralized programs but I also provided inclusion support. My passion for the field continued to grow and so did my need to continue my education. I went back to school and graduated with a Masters of Science in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis. I continued my educational career and became a district behavior specialist in a large district in the DFW area. I grew to lead the behavior team for that district and embedded myself in all aspects of understanding special education and the law. Although I loved working in leadership at the district level, something was missing in my day to day and that was working 1:1 with kids. I then decided to expand my career and level of knowledge into the clinical sector as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst where I provided early intervention to children on the spectrum. I previously served in the clinical setting as an Executive Clinical Director. and today I serve as the Owner/Founder and BCBA for Prince ABA in Sherman and enjoy working with kids and families on a daily basis.
Throughout my years in education and in the field of Autism, one thing remained the same...my passion! Now my mission is to help others and share my love for the field.
“With us, you’ll never walk alone.”
